The following are methods to improve the impact toughness of NM400 wear-resistant plate:

1Optimize chemical composition Adjust the alloy element content: Reasonably control carbon content and avoid excessive levels. Moderate addition of manganese, nickel and other elements can improve toughness, while adding microalloying elements such as niobium and vanadium can refine grain size. Reduce the content of impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus, and improve the purity of steel through techniques such as refining outside the furnace.


2Improve heat treatment process Optimize quenching process: Choose the appropriate quenching temperature and cooling rate to avoid defects caused by excessive temperature and rapid cooling. Graded quenching or isothermal quenching can be used to reduce internal stress. Adjust the tempering process, choose the appropriate tempering temperature and time, and use multiple tempering processes to make the structure more stable and eliminate internal stress. 

3Control processing technology Optimize rolling process: Adopting controlled rolling and thermomechanical control processes to refine grain size, improve strength and toughness. Improve welding process, select appropriate welding materials and methods, control heat input, and arrange welding sequence reasonably. 


4Other methods Surface treatment: Surface hardening, carburizing and other processes are used to improve surface hardness and wear resistance, while shot peening and other strengthening treatments are carried out to introduce residual compressive stress. Quality control: Strengthen the quality control of raw materials, strictly control the production process, conduct non-destructive testing to detect defects in a timely manner.
